AARC Annual Membership


AARC is a member-operated community club that relies on involvement from people like you. Your membership fosters a sense of ownership, gives you a voice in shaping the club’s future, and supports fixed expenses like insurance and organizational dues.

Membership Overview

  • Term: April 1st – March 31st

  • Annual Fee: $26

How to Join (Step-by-Step) To ensure compliance with our insurance and safety standards, please follow this order:

  1. Join USRowing: You must be an active member of USRowing before you can join AARC. Please secure or renew your USRowing membership first.  The AARC code is: CZGBS.

  2. Join AARC: Once your USRowing status is active, you may sign the AARC Joining Agreement & Rowing Waiver and pay the $26 annual fee.

  3. Register for Programs: After becoming a Full Member, you can subscribe to specific rowing programs. Program fees vary by season and cover coaching, equipment, and related expenses.

Join Our Community As a Full Member, you can vote in club elections, serve on the Board of Directors, access all member-level website features, and race as an AARC-affiliated athlete. You will connect with a unique group of fun, fitness-minded individuals who love to row! Join us for another season of hard work, improvement, and camaraderie… Argo is waiting!



Membership Benefits

  • Eligibility to vote for club directors as well as other club actions requiring a vote

  • May be elected to and serve on the club board of directors

  • “Member” level access to the club website, including the ability to sign up for programs and to access the club membership directory and club documents.

  • May race as affiliated with AARC at regattas

Member Expectations

 

  • Completing the AARC Joining Agreement & Rowing Waiver

  • Becoming a USRowing member & completing the USRowing waiver

  • Knowing, following and upholding all Club Rules, including the the Code of Conduct 

  • Knowing, following and upholding safety requirements at all times, including reporting issues and concerns

  • Paying rowing fees in a timely manner

  • Participating in the AARC Stewardship Program, designed to spread the club’s essential work among all members. This includes participating in two of the three boathouse work days each year.

AARC endeavors to make rowing accessible to the broad community.  Scholarships are available to those with financial need to support participation.  
AARC is a 501(c)3 organization.  Donations made to AARC may be eligible for tax deduction.  Please check with your tax consultant.
